Casa Juico is also known as Las Casas Quezon City since it was under the management of the same group that manages the operation of Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar in Bataan. Casa Juico is a preserved heritage wherein intricate interiors and charming exteriors would be your event’s backdrop. Owned by Felipe Sangil Juico and designed by Pablo S. Antonio, Sr., a National Artist for Architecture, the site is a two-story ancestral mansion fitted with recycled wooden furniture pieces handmade by the local craftsmen and artists. Some pieces of furniture are restored French neoclassical kinds. Baroque and rococo influences are everywhere, particularly the curlicues in the wooden spiral staircase. The sitting room has a high ceiling adorned with a crystal chandelier. However, the humongous Fernando Amorsolo portrait will have your eyes glued on the wall. The exteriors were preserved with cobblestone driveway and sunset-hued tiles on the patio. But the grandest ancient trees that peppered the 6, 500-square meter property are truly historical, some of which are rare varieties. The mansion underwent significant renovations to turn into a boutique restaurant and hotel. It is definitely a wondrous place to make memories through intimate dinners and elaborate affairs like how Casa Juico was once a place for social gatherings for the country’s elite circle.
